This month is heart health month. We need to show our heart some love not just this month but 365 days a year. According to the CDC, heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. There are several factors that increase the risk of heart disease, that includes obesity, poor diet, diabetes, lack of physical exercise and excessive alcohol consumption. This is an alarming statistic, but the good news is that heart disease can be prevented.
Start investing in your health today. The little things you do today can improve your overall health. Who wouldn’t want to live a long healthy life? I will share some simple and sustainable lifestyle changes that will have you go from just surviving to thriving. Let me coach you to better health regarding:
Make Health Your Hobby
Choose the one hobby that will add years to your life and life to your years. A hobby is something you enjoy doing so why not add heart health to the list.
Move Waste from Your Waist
Did you know that a woman’s waist should be under 35 inches and a man’s waist should be under 40? Most diseases start in the gut. Did you know that the bacteria in our gut can be a risk factor for heart disease?
Make Your Own Medicine®
Did you know that your body can make its own medicine? Skip the visits to your local pharmacy by opening your own internal pharmacy. Our endothelium is the lining of our blood vessels and that is where our internal pharmacy is located.
Live Without Pain & Inflammation
Pain and inflammation do not have to be part of the aging process. Most people do not know that the primary cause of inflammation is a poor diet. Inflammation is the body’s immune system fighting to get rid of the “bad” stuff we put in our body. Carditis (heart disease) is caused by inflammation in the body.
Health coaching sessions also involves:
- Understanding how the body changes as we age.
- Prevent disease and unhealthy aging.
- Boost energy, stress less, sleep better and sharpen thinking.
- Reduce the risk of cancer and the “highs” (blood pressure, cholesterol).
- Become fit, strong and flexible.
- Reduce risk of arthritis, carditis, gastritis (most common illnesses associated with aging; yet the most preventable).
